The World Sailing Federation has chosen the Estoril Coast to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The commemorations will feature the inauguration of the “ISAF Sailing Hall of Fame”, on November 5.

This historic ceremony will be presided by King Constantine, in the presence of other European royal family members.

The six most famous names in sailing history will be honoured with this prestigious tribute and announced at the gala dinner at Casino Estoril, where 650 personalities and guests from the world of sport will attend.

This centenary celebration will begin with the unveiling of a memorial to the ISAF centenary, at Cascais marina, near Cascais Sailing Club. The statue is in the shape of a boat, created by sculptor Cristina Leiria.
