An association has been set up between a number of privately owned businesses and the public sector to promote the Estoril Coast as a prime destination for congresses, meetings, fairs, exhibitions and other business-oriented activities. The organisation is called the Estoril & Sintra Convention Bureau, and covers a wide geographical area including Sintra, Mafra and Oeiras. The Convention Bureau deals exclusively with the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Events), and it is dedicated to developing links between business tourism and sports, cultural and leisure activities, integrating them to create a varied and highly specific product range.
